Ladybird Sleepwear x

"You're lying next to me. And I'm half asleep, wondering what I did to deserve this moment - to deserve you. And while you're here, breathing easily, all I can think about is what I can do tomorrow to be better for you than I was today".

Until fairly recently Little Monkey didn't sleep right through.  In fact he would wake numerous times in the night and would inevitably end up in our bed, his little piggies in my face and his arms sprawled across the bed.  It wasn't until a friend recommended the Cheshire Baby Whisper, after a tough sleep deprived week at work, that Henry finally embraced 11 glorious hours of shut eye.  Since then Henry's bedtime routine has become incredibly important and his sleep wear an important step in this process.

When the lovely girlies at Very asked me to try out their new sleepwear collection for Ladybird, I jumped at the chance as the collection looked super snugly and it featured stripes... did I ever mention I love a stripe? hehe

First up was the Boys pack of 3 sleep suits in a nautical colour palette of navy and sky blues, beach hut hues of green and bedlinen stripes.  Little attention to details include Lazy Days painted logos, contrast sleeves and knee striped knee patches.  However what I love about this little trio of bodysuits is how super soft they feel.  They feel like little clouds of cotton wool against Henry's eczema prone skin.
Are we going to mention the Elephant in the room?
Lol, he will grow into these x
I remember when Little Monkey was born and I became obsessed with body suits as a layering piece.  I would purposely look for hours for long sleeved suits that I could turn up the sleeves to create contrast cuffs.  Even for bed time.  I would blame the hormones, but 17 months on, I'm still a sleeve nut.  So when I received the Ladybird stripe and slogan bodysuits, I was excited to find a navy long sleeved vest amongst the pack.  I know, I need help.

Matching back perfectly with the sleep suits, the vests come in a 5 pack with a mixture of short sleeves and long.  & with the current unpredictable weather, I've loved mixing them up depending on how warm or cool Henry's room is.  As with the sleep suits the vests are super soft and both sets are generously sized, which with Henry shooting up super fast, I love that I have a few months wear out of them.
