Talking Mummy Style with Myleene Klass x

When it comes to Mummy Style, Mother of two Myleene Klass, continuously inspires and transforms women's wardrobes with her collections for Littlewoods.  Her instagram account alone not only gives you a glimpse of motherhood, it also shows a woman passionate about her work and life.  Here she talks to Peonie and Me about her own personal style and gives us an insight into her life as a Mum...

I would describe my style as…
Classic, fun, glam and at points through the day, covered with the odd dash of yoghurt or banana!

This March my collection is inspired by…
Strong, feminine shapes, bold, glam silhouettes and fun florals. I am also lace mad as I love the luxurious and feminine feel of it. I just add my trusty leather jacket to an outfit to give it a tougher edge.
My go to wardrobe staple during my downtime is…
The jeans from my collection teamed with one of the blouses and my leather jacket.

Balancing a career with motherhood is…
Quite a challenge. You pretty much make it up as you go along. It can certainly be done but it's not easy and my sleep usually takes the hit. I find being as organised as possible, the key however, one sick child or even a forgotten PE kit can usually throw everything.  Straight off kilter. I've learned to just deal with the important things in front of me and try not to worry about the smaller things. Being a working mother has also made me extremely efficient in all aspects of my life. I utilise every hour, every minute that I have.
I think its still important to dress up because...
Having pride in how you look and also simply enjoying being a woman is nothing to be ashamed of. It's fun to dress up and put outfits together. It's important to feel good about yourself. Being a mum to your children is amazing but you are also a person in your own right and your children learn that from you. I know my girls copy me from how I brush my hair to how I dress myself in the mornings. I want to show them that they have to do things because it makes them feel good and not because of what others dictate.

Mummy style to me means…
Sass and confidence. You made a baby! You are amazing. Whatever you wear, you're dressing a superhero! I want my girls to learn that dressing up is the fun part and real style comes from who they are, how they treat people and how they make others and most importantly themselves feel x
