Whats in my bag – Coco Bow by Motherknot x

“I’m a big believer that accessories can make or break a look”.

Nina Garcia

This month I’m excited to share my #WhatsInMyBag post, because not only is it a beautiful bag from Coco Bow, its also one of my favourite posts to read.  The lovely designer Katie at Coco Bow kindly gifted me the bag after meeting her during the afternoon tea launch party of the Motherknot range.  See review here…

Amongst the stunning collection was the beautiful Aalin Bag and I have to say, it was love at first site.  Not only for the design and craftsmanship, but also to the fact that changing bags can still make a statement and be practical.

Liverpool Palm House x

When the bag arrived I was so excited, I knew I wanted to take some lovely pictures of it.   So Little Monkey and I headed off to the Liverpool Palm House. The Palm house is a stunning botanical green house, with seasonal plants growing all year around.  I thought it was the perfect setting for Aalin, plus a lovely walk with Henry after his morning nap.

The features of the bag include the all over leather exterior in super soft dove grey, it also comes in classic everyday tan.  The bag has a handle on the top for “Paris Street Style” over the arm carrying, or an optional shoulder handle inside.  Amazingly it also comes with straps that clip perfectly onto my Silver Cross pram.

Coco Bow Motherknot Leather Changing Bag x

However my favourite feature is the Motherknot embossed clasp closer on the front in silver.  The Motherhood knot, or Mother’s knot represents the parent and childs embrace in overlapping hearts with no beginning or end.  How sweet is that?

Inside the bag is a removable bag with lots of pockets for all your baby essentials.  The bag can be removed and is a great fit for under your arm like a nappy holding clutch :o).  This bag also comes with a shoulder strap if like me you have a little wriggler.

& lastly but most essentially, it has a wipeable Motherknot printed changing mat that rolls up perfectly with a little clasp closer.  Even Henrys tush is touching luxury.

So whats in my bag…

Baby Essentials

H&M Wraparound Bodysuits

I’m obsessed with these little wrap body suits.  Henry is currently going through a “I hate everything over my head” stage, so these are great alternatives to vest. I always have a spare in my bag along with a spare outfit for little (or big) accidents.

Powder Blue Muslins

These are great for mopping up milk & food (just started weaning), clearing up snot (Henrys full of cold), creating little hats to shield from the sun and an array of other things.

Cath Kidston Printed Bib

These came in a two pack and were a gift from one of my lovely NCT friends.  I have a billion bibs but these are my favourite for the lovely prints.

E45 Dermatological Cream

Henry has baby eczema so I try and keep him creamed up throughout the day to avoid him getting dry.  Its also great for my hands that additionally get chapped from all the wiping and hand sanitising.

For his Bum

Pampers New Baby Premium Protection Nappies
Pampers Sensitive Wipes
Still my favourite brand after “Nappy Rash came to stay“.

Sudocrem Care & Protect Cream

I recently did a review of this cream and I’m still loving it now. Read Here

Large Cotton Wool Pads

I try and use these with water as much as possible instead of baby wipes.  Wipes are great, but I find they can be drying.  My Mum refuses to use wipes when she has Henry too,  so I always make sure his bag is well stocked up.

For his Peggies

Sophie La Giraffe

I never really saw the benefits of Sophie when we initially bought this for Henry. But now she comes everywhere with us.  Henry literally bites her head off on a daily basis, and still still has a smile on her face.

Nelsons Teetha Teething Gel
Love this.  I still use Calgel now and again, another great teething gel, however this one does the trick everytime.

For his Tummy

Cow & Gate First Infant Milk – Ready to Use

Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Bottles

Baby Milk Container

Unfortunately I was unable to breast feed, therefore these bottles have been perfect for feeding Little Monkey.  My friend Amy bought me the milk container/divider and its a must have essential for me.  I find that most places provide hot water when we are out and about, so I don’t always need to use the ready made bottles. As price wise, they do add up.

My Essentials

Micha Barton Purse
I’ve had this for what seems like forever.  Currently its just full of coffee and food shopping receipts.

Peony & Blush Suede Cologne

My wedding day scent and still my favourite perfume.  I smell of it, the house smells of it and most of the time from all his cuddles, Henry smells of it.

Stila Lip & Blush Compact in Petunia

Since being on maternity leave I have updated my full made up face with a little mascara, concealer and blush.  This is great for those moments when you catch yourself in the mirror and realise you look like death from all those night feeds.  This is lovely for giving my skin a little peach pick me up.

Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in Smooth Talker

As with the blush compact, this is great a little face pick me up.  Hey I’ve got a fancy new bag, the least I can do is wear some gloss :0)…

The Coco Bow collection has other gorgeous bags in the range and the gorgeous Vlogger Kate Murnane has the Oxley bag

I’d love to hear whats in your bag and any essentials you think I have missed x
