“Clothes mean nothing until someone lives in them.”
I love stripes. No I don’t think I said that loud enough…I LOVE STRIPES… & well you know where this is going, if I love a navy on white vertical in my life, then Little Monkey does too :o).
Lets face it, dressing your child is pretty much short lived. Once they realise the benefits of a great cape, fitted suit and mask, those perfectly chosen outfits won’t get a look in. So until that day, Henry is embracing the stripe. From jersey matchy match to oversized chunky knits (he will grow into them) they are great for mix and matching with solids.
My current go to shop to fuel my little addiction is Next. Henry has two sets of jersey loungewear that are great for layering and wearing back with his knitted trousers. They also wash so beautifully and have still kept their baby softness.
For layering vests it has to be H&M. They do the best wrap over baby vests and body suits that I can roll over at the sleeve to break up the prison stripes.
Knitwear has proven easier to find, from Next, Zara and Mothercare, they all have a great jumper this season. But rather than the navy on white, Little Monkey has grey on navy and red on navy.
Lastly while Henry is still small I can still incorporate my love of Yellow. Whether it be in socks or a layering vest from H&M. Ahhh this post makes me want to wear my own Bretton top today (don’t worry, Henry will not be wearing a stripe today if I am, now thats Crazy) x
