Smitten knits review x

One of the things I say is, ‘You want to know what it’s like to be a baby?

It’s like being in love for the first time in Paris after four double espressos.’

And boy, you are alive and conscious.

This week I fell in love.  I fell in love all over again with my husband the love of my life and cherished the love I have with my son, my new love of my life.

But I also fell in love with something highly unexpected.  Something so beautifully created, so bold in its design and so snuggly you wanted to bury your face in its perfectly sized shape.  I’m talking about the gorgeous hand-made knitted blankets from Smitten Knits.

Browsing the web for the perfect valentines gifts, I wanted to purchase something for my husband, but also a keepsake for Little Monkey.  Amongst the personalised rompers, picture keepsakes and love heart baby grows, I came across these little squares of joy.

From raspberry red love hearts, to scrumptious strawberries, little animals and giant stars, there is a variety of designs for your little loves.  Perfectly sized as little comforters, with ribbon side ties for little hands to explore and big eyes to be visually stimulated.

Knitted and created by Rosie Ward, each comforter is made using eco-friendly wool and bamboo yarn, which makes them super soft.  Rosie also created bespoke cushions, patchwork blankets and cushions that would bring to live any nursery.

Henry has loved twirling his fingers through the ribbon today and even Bjorn his little bear has loved feeling snuggly amongst the hearts (ok I admit it, I wrapped him up in it, but look he’s smiling).
