I love socks. They are like little snuggly sleeping bags, instantly enveloping your feet in comfort and warmth, a winter fix when the weather turns blue.
The humble knitted foot cover is forever overlooked for it’s practicality as we transition into falling leaves weather. They have the ability of protecting my little ones feet, whilst protecting their tootsies from the day to day elements.
As we move into autumn the children’s shorts and dresses are replaced with leggings and jeans and are instantly layered with super soft socks. I love it when my three are layered up for winter, little flushed cheeks poking out of knitwear, after a play in the garden. Socks pulled up over wellies and gloves enveloping their tiny fingers.
Equally with wooden floors throughout the house, I want to ensure their feet are as warm as sofa cuddles as a family. Plus nothing beats picking fluff from their tiny toes before bath time, a nostalgic pastime of my own childhood.
Currently fuelling my little sock obsession is the extensive collection of Bamboo hosiery from the Sock Shop. The socks are hypoallergenic and antibacterial, so our feet are fresher for longer, always a bonus with active little boys.
The kids and I were lucky to recently try out their socks and I have to say, I’m hooked. For the kids I selected some everyday colours such as blues for Henry and Georgie and super soft pink for Posy. For me it had to be argyle printed to add a little fashion interest to my usual Mum uniform.
To the kids socks are socks but for me they’re a game changer when it comes to transitional dressing. To update your wardrobe with a touch of super soft luxe, the Sock Shop are giving my readers 10% off your next purchase. Just add Peonie&Me10 at the check out.
